You asked me yesterday….
“Give me three good reasons as to why you love me so much!” It was a demand more than a question. I immediately broke eye contact and looked away. I’m sure my cheeks blushed ruby red.
The first lie: “You’re my favorite person in the whole world.”
While not really a lie, but more of an understatement. You are my whole world. I’ve lived without you once, and I can’t do it again.
The second lie: “I want to be with you forever.”
Again, a horrid understandment.
I hope even after forever, we’ll still be in each other’s lives. I hope that if reincarnation is real, you’ll find me again. I hope that if the world ends, you still keep on living.
Lie number three: “You’re different and I love that.”
If understatements were the seven layers of Hell, this would be the deepest darkest circle.
You are out of this universe different. You inspire everyone you come into contact with. You’re in the midst of inspiring a whole generation of kids to have purpose in life. Your purpose gives me purpose and I love you for it.
You and I are two souls that matched perfectly from day one and I’m so happy we’ve reunited. You light up my body, soul and being and I can’t thank you enough for it.
You took my crappy lies and I felt guilty. I wept about it until morning and I swear I’ll make my lies up to you.
